Before you install anything

Two rules, and they are not optional.

Download only from the official domain. Not from a Telegram channel, not from an APK mirror site, not from a file a friend forwarded. Repackaged gaming APKs are a real and common problem in India: the app looks identical, the login works, and a modified build sits between you and your wallet. If the file did not come from the operator's own site, delete it.

Check the signature after an update. Android refuses to install an update whose signing certificate differs from the installed version. If an update fails with a signature error, that is your warning that the new file came from a different publisher, do not uninstall the working app to force it through.

Installing the Android app

Step 1, Open the official site in Chrome on the phone itself. Downloading on a laptop and transferring the file is where side-loaded copies creep in.

Step 2, Tap the download or APK button. Chrome will warn you that this file type can harm your device. That warning fires for every APK ever downloaded outside the Play Store and says nothing about this specific file. Choose to keep it only if the domain is the official one.

Step 3, Open the downloaded file. Pull down the notification shade and tap the completed download, or find it in Files under Downloads.

Step 4, Allow installs from this source. Android will send you to a settings screen the first time. Grant the permission to Chrome or to Files, whichever app is doing the opening, and then come back. This is a per-app permission, not a global one.

Step 5, Tap Install, then Open. On a mid-range phone this takes a few seconds. Google Play Protect may offer to scan the app; letting it scan is harmless.

Step 6, Log in with the credentials you already created. It is the same account and the same wallet as the website. There is no separate app account.

Step 7, Turn off battery optimisation for the app. Aggressive battery savers on Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and Samsung devices kill background sockets, which is what people are describing when they say the app "logs me out by itself".

What iPhone users do instead

There is generally no native iOS app for lobbies in this category, because the App Store applies the same restrictions as Play. The working route is a web app.

Open the site in Safari, Safari specifically, because Chrome on iOS cannot add a proper home-screen app. Tap the share icon, scroll to Add to Home Screen, name it, and add. You get a launcher tile that opens full-screen without the browser chrome. It behaves like an app for everything that matters: login persists, the wallet is the same, deposits work.

The differences are real but small. No push notifications, so promotions have to be checked manually. iOS will occasionally evict the stored session if storage runs low, meaning an extra login. And if the site changes domain, the tile has to be recreated.

Anyone who sends you an "In999 Club iOS app" file, a TestFlight invite or a configuration profile is not doing you a favour. A configuration profile in particular can grant device-wide access. Do not install one.

Permissions worth allowing, and permissions worth refusing

A gaming lobby has a narrow legitimate need for device access.

• Accessibility services. Refuse, always. Nothing in a gaming app justifies it, and it is the single most abused permission on Android.

Updates, storage and uninstalling cleanly

Updates are delivered inside the app rather than through Play, so you will see an in-app prompt with a new file. Install it from that prompt, on the official domain, and keep the existing app in place, an update preserves your login, a fresh install after uninstalling does not.

If the app starts behaving badly, clear the cache first (Settings, Apps, In999 Club, Storage, Clear cache). Clearing data logs you out and resets preferences but does not touch your account or balance, because none of that lives on the phone. Uninstalling does not close your account either, your wallet, history and KYC status all sit on the server, and you can log back in through the browser at any point. That is also the honest answer to "will I lose my money if I delete the app": no, but you will lose nothing by keeping a browser bookmark either.

The part the download page will not tell you
